We are delighted to invite you to participate in the 8th International Congress on Landscape Architecture Research (ICLAR 2026), which will be hosted by Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) in the beautiful and historic city of Kyrenia (Girne), Northern Cyprus, on October 22–23, 2026. The congress will be organized in both onsite and online formats.

The main theme of this year’s congress is:

“Resilient Landscapes and Sustainable Futures”

The congress aims to bring together researchers, academicians, professionals, policymakers, and students from around the world to discuss innovative ideas, scientific developments, and sustainable approaches in landscape architecture and related disciplines.

The scientific program will cover a broad range of topics, including:

Sustainable and resilient landscape planning

Climate adaptation and mitigation strategies

Urban ecology and environmental sustainability

Innovative and smart design approaches

Green infrastructure and nature-based solutions

Environmental health and livable communities

Socio-cultural aspects of landscape architecture and planning

ICLAR 2026 will provide an excellent international platform for participants to present their research findings, exchange scientific knowledge, establish new academic collaborations, and discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in the field.

All accepted abstracts will be published in the official Congress Proceedings Book. In addition, selected full-text papers will undergo a peer-review process for possible publication in the International Journal of Landscape Architecture Research (IJLAR).
